A Missionaries work would be important to ensure the continuity of Catholicism as well as to maintain its purity. If you look at most religions in that region now, they tend to be a hybrid. In many instances these religions worship all of the Catholic Saints though they often maintain different meanings and are not always praised for "good" things.
