puerto rico: I am trying to get ideas on where to go for a honeymoon. I have decided to either go somewhere in Mexico, more than likely Cancun or somewhere nice in Puerto Rico. Either place would be fine with me, but which one would end up costing less? Just curious, but thanks for any help anyone can offer.|||October is off season for Puerto Rico. I'm sure that if you don't leave your resort in Mexico you will be safe. Your trip maybe less expensive in Mexico, but in Puerto Rico you're on American soil. You don't need a passport. You don't have to worry about the language, as most Puertoricans speak English and there are many statersiders living here. You're free to roam the country side. You don't have to worry about converting dollars to pesos. We use the US dollar. I live in a small beach town called Rincon and there are many fine romantic small bed 'n breakfasts, and inns that won't break your budget. October is a quieter time of year in Rincon, and that could help you get a better price for your stay. In Rincon you can go horseback riding, snorkeling, surfing (or take surfing lessons), diving, sailing, deep sea fishing and clubing. I write about things to do in Rincon.|||i say you go to puerto rico is much better i think you would have alot of fun if you go to puerto rico on your honey moon and it is not that expensive|||Both places are beautiful and rich in culture. They would be both low in tourism and off season, very cheap for both places. I still think that Mexico is cheaper because they have alot of packages included like Dominican Republic. PR has the American dollar value, its the same and PR is kinda expensive, but off season you can get great special packages.|||Mexico might be cheaper but Puerto Rico has more personality & natural beauty (overall). I prefer Puetro Rico after having visited only once, but Mexico three times.
