From 1493-1898 Puerto Rico was a colony of Spain and that is where we acquired almost all of our cultural costumes and of course our language. Despite us being a U.S. territory, the majority of Puerto Ricans speak only Spanish. After the Spanish-American War(in 1898), Puerto Rico was ceded to the United States and we have been a U.S. colony ever since.|||Either you are DUMB AS SH*T or you are a F#@KING LIAR..
