I've noticed that if you visit different parts of Puerto Rico, the traditional clothing worn by the people are different. The problem is, I'm having a hard time distinguishing which clothing belongs where. Could somebody please tell me what traditional clothing people might wear in...let's say the southern region of Puerto Rico? I'm asking this question so I can get an answer for a Spanish project that I have to turn in soon, so if anyone could answer my question would be awesome! :) Thanks!|||Traditional clothing? Common clothing used in PR 100 or 200 years ago?
That is not worn today in Puerto Rico unless in special occasions like a school drama, or in a cultural festival.

Different?
Poor people working in coffee or sugar cane plantations (jibaros) worn clothes different to the ones used by middle class people living on the cities, or by rich people.

Maybe you are reffering to wardrobe worn by carnaval festival's characters like:
* vegigantes de Loiza - (north-east) http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im鈥?/a>

* vegigantes - south - carnaval de Ponce

* enmascarados - (north-west Festival de las Mascaras de Hatillo)
