How hard AND how long would it be for me to get transferred to Puerto Rico public high schools from a US public school?, and vise versa.|||I had moved from the U.S. to Puerto Rico while in High School and basically you have your normal proof of residency like mail from the U.S. Postal Service that determines you live where you say you live. They will usually take credit for credit except Spanish. When I moved to PR I was in 11th grade and I didn't have Spanish. So was taking 10th grade Spanish and was held one year back for this. When I ended up in 12 grade English I had a misunderstanding with the teacher and her view of a Report which ended up in me dropping her class. I ended up taking Spanish and English in Summer School. No biggie, summer school was so fun! That was my experience, nothing to worry about, just get ready for a culture shock if you will. Two very different worlds in public schools. Hope this helps.|||probably
different rules and classes and cultures and stuff|||It takes as long as you take to bring the necessary paperwork. I dont know all the paperwork required, but i can imagine it would be you social security number, birth certificate and proof of living (e.g. electricity bill or water bill). Keep in mind that you MIGHT get dropped down from your current academic level. Dont know all the details behind it, but i've seen it a couple of times.
