My family (2 adults, 2 young kids) are considering a trip to Puerto Rico this summer. We'd like to spend some time in El Yunque, Old San Juan, the Caves of Camuy, and a "gentle" beach. What's the best place to stay that's central to these areas? Should we rent a villa/condo or stay in a hotel? Is a trip to Vieques or Culebra worth it -- and if so, should it be a day trip or should stay over? Thanks for the help!|||Condo are great when you want to sleep in late and do what ever you want at your own leisure pace. Last spring, the wife and I, with two teenager stay in a 3 bedroom condo at Las Lomas in Fajardo, from there the marina is close by so you can take the ferry to Vieques ot Culebra Island. We decide on this trip to go to Culebra Island, it was breathe taking and worth the trip, one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world according to the travel channel. El Conquistador Hotel also in Fajardo is worth the money, it has a private beach Island for guest only, in which you are taken by boat, a water park especially for kids and beautiful surrounding every where you go. Both location are close to all the attraction you mentioned. Best time to travel is the Month of August there are less tourism and the Hotel and Condo rate are cheaper in that month, you get more bang for the buck. Good Luck and happy trails. |||Stay at the Hilton Carabe hotel its the absulote best place in the world|||www.gotopuertorico.com
